GPS tracking of men

I wonder if in the future all males will be required to wear un removable GPS tracking devices.

Starting with boys when they are young to get them used to the idea that they are being watched and to emphasise the difference between boys and girls.

All me would wear them so if a woman was attacked then the police would look at what GPS units were at that location at the time of the attack.

At a personal level, I was thinking tat if I wore one voluntairily and showed my wife how to find my location then at all times it would make me careful about where I went because I would know she would know.

Interesting thoughts.

    Horrifying thoughts.

In the real world laws that have been designed to protect women (usually based on sexist assumptions about men) are now being used to oppress them. Look up critiques of "mandatory arrest" and "primary aggressor" statutes.Government power tends to expand whenever its given a chance, because many people in government care only about power.

Now maybe your idea is based on the sexes being unequal, and thus men no longer being entitled to equal protection under the law. If that's the case, I pity you.

  2. Hi Clarence,
    Thanks for your comment.
In a way I agree quite horrifying. (At a personal level between my wife and I somewhat titilating).

I agree that government power tends to expand when it gets the chance. Pondering the mechanism is also interesting. The public service seems to be populated with well meaning people who implement more and more regulations each of which further reduces the freedom of individuals. No one public servant intends to do that but each sees a problem and works out a way to fix that but all combines result in such an over governed nany state.

The topic of "equal" is interesting to consider. I would say that men and women are different. Does that mean equal? A great topic for discussion. But the idea of men submitting to women is a power exchange in may case voluntarilly given but that is not always the case.

Anyway, thanks again for your contribution and I am more than happy to continue the discussion. It will be interesting to see how society changes into the future.
